With spring here, the warmer weather has me thinking of road trips and adventure — sleeveless dresses, sunglasses, beachy straw hats, cool t-shirts, and driving with the windows down. The freedom of the open American road, and all the fun stops along the way ...
Just recently, I found myself traveling through Alabama, at a place that is sacred in music lore ...
The Redmont Hotel in Birmingham, the oldest hotel in town, is where country music legend Hank Williams, Sr. spent his last night alive. I even stayed in the same room as Hank, and his spirit and the energy of his music was palpable — and goosebump-inducing!
Of course, the next day I had to visit The Hank Williams Museum in Montgomery. It's well worth your time, if you're looking for some road-trip adventure mixed with American history
So ... where will you go this Spring?
We hope you'll stop at a Stuckey's along the way. And if you have any ideas on fun road trip adventures, email us and we just might feature them here!
See you on the road — and remember to stay safe, have fun, and help each other out!
